The Country Bunkin continues her story...Last night she had a date with her ex husband at their son's school to apply for his entry into the sixth form. After 45 minutes of teacher speech, they were ushered from the great hall into the corridors where they were herded like sheep around classrooms with the encouragement of dropping into workshops. The son drew his parents to one side and said
'I know which A levels I wish to take and they are Maths, Science and Economics' to which his mother replied I understand your wish for Maths and Science but why Econonmics? he turned, looked his mother directly in the face and said 'because Mum I want to follow in your footsteps'.
NEVER has a Mother been as proud as I was at that moment.
10 hard years, coped with only by the help of her wonderful Mother, her wonderful Sister and Mr Jules were completely forgotten.

As Mother and Son left the school for their journey home, silent tears of joy cascaded down her face.

I love this site Martin! I never actually believed the story of the priest and the balloons...only in Italy. He must have been one hell of an unpopular priest.
All blue skies and sun glinting on snow which is deep and crisp and er, even - about to leave for a weekend in the mountains. Have fun sweating on the beach.

Ignoring the inevitable question which goes like "If there was a car on the drive, why didn't the gas man ring the door bell" ... which would therefore also cast doubts on the gene pool efficacy of the gas man

Panic ye not, these events are mild. To truly be enlightened have a look at : http://www.darwinawards.com/
"Honoring those who improve the species...by accidentally removing themselves from it" (US site - hence the spellings)

Hope you're still enjoying the nice cold weather.
