Ah well back to the real world this Monday morning after my 15 minutes of fame at the weekend. I rather enjoyed it. I replied to all the emails even the wacky ones and the ones enquiring the name of the watch/jacket I was wearing…and I delighted in seeing my blog traffic soar to such giddy heights.
But just in case it was all going to go to my head, there was a knock at the door and there stood Martin another village expat, whom I discovered or rather he discovered me through this site, with a bag full of eggs from his over enthusiastic lay-ers. Egg man pays me in eggs for giving him the odd chuckle – sort of an egg a chuckle I have worked out – which he especially appreciates when he is far from home on the Bullet train in Japan for some reason. I rather like this bartering of eggs for chuckles. Some bloggers have tip boxes to which they hope readers will make contributions, one even has a link to her Amazon.com wish list!!!
Me? I’m happy with the eggs and the odd foray into the British Press.
I’m glad you did! Thanks for the an-egg-dote. Jules

Of course, we could get ova enthusiastic about hen-fresh eggs, but they are really egg-cellent. I’m probably having a more egg-citing time teaching them to “sit and lay” as Maggie Springer Spaniel is still trying to come to terms with the concept of “sit and stay”.
After all …. an oeuf is an oeuf! (I don’t believe I wrote that)
